Upcoming Classes

This September 10-14, 2013 we are honored to be teaching at Maryhill Museum of Art in Goldendale, WA. The class is in conjunction with their exhibit of Russian icons. We will be painting the icon of St John the Forerunner and Baptist using an icon from the exhibit as the prototype.

The museum is half an hour drive from St John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Monastery. We recommend a visit to their bakery and gift shop as well as attending a church service. Here is their website: http://www.stjohnmonastery.org/

Please email carrie@maryhillmuseum.org if you are interested in joining this class.

No previous artistic experience is required.

Previous Classes

Our third icon class was held in Billings MT July 2-6, 2012. We painted this icon of the Archangel Gabriel on a 8″ x 12″ board. We so enjoy making this an annual event to visit with returning students and meet new people!
Our second icon class was held in Billings MT July 25-29, 2011. We painted this icon of Christ on a 10″ x 12″ board. It was another terrific class with a great group of students, and we look forward to another class next year.
St. Bernard Catholic Church in Billings, Montana hosted an icon painting (writing) class October 11-15, 2010. We painted an icon of the Konevitsa Mother of God during the class of 11 students. It was a wonderful week, and the icons turned out beautiful. We are looking forward to having another class in Billings next year.
